Graham Potter has revealed he is open to returning to management amid reports. He is a contender to become the England manager.
Gareth Southgate quit as England manager this week following their Euro 2020 final defeat to Spain and
Potter has been linked with a move to succeed Eddie Howe, Mauricio Pochettino and Lee Carsley. The
49-year-old has been out of management. Since being sacked by Chelsea in April 2023. But is now ready to return to management.
“I’m in a good place now, happy to take on the next challenge and looking forward to that,” Potter told ยูฟ่าเบท Sports.
“My break has been great. The road from where I started to where I finished has not been free. Travelling to three countries with my young family and all that comes with being a manager. “It’s important
for me to take a break, reflect and recharge. It’s a good time to be looking at other things, other sports, other teams. And visiting a lot of places,” Potter
said. “I feel really ready, really excited to come back when the right opportunity presents itself.”
Potter was also asked about the England managerial role when he received his honours award from Leeds Beckett University, but said this was not the day to talk about it.
